@prolyft announced new chain hoist series named Nero! 👊 These hoists are foolproof and designed to withstand rigorous transportation.

Few years ago we designed flight case for almost same chain hoist Aetos with excellent and professional technicians from @akuntehdasvirallinen. Now it’s time for Nero! The best results are made when end user is also behind the blueprints. Big thanks for Kari and Pete for cooperation. ✌️ Not forgetting co-owner and case builder Matti who has over 10 years of experience working in event technology. 😎

Nero has two capacity 500kg and 1000kg and designed for stage technology. Chain hoists are full steel and #flightcases have to handle lot of stress. We made interior almost three times thicker plywood than flight case core. These cases will get rekt that’s for sure but we do our best to build long lasting flight case for chain hoist. New cases are currently on production and see daylight soon!

Quick walk thru with cassiguru how to operate with guitar tech box! ✌️Fresh idea to use injection molded case was introduced by guitar/backline technician @veetijamsen 🥳

By these cassikeke hands I have build tens of different maintenance briefcases for backline technicians. All have been fairly good but the most have annoying problem: weight, wheels and eveything around towing. 🚀 Wheels can be installed but then it increases weight (because good wheels have steel housing and poor plastic ones goes to hell). To wheel or not to wheel? Flight case was ok for it but suddenly there was an option which was never questioned.

Injection molded case 👊 Those MFs which we have warehouse full. Never thought before Veeti throw that idea. It was perfect! 🥳 Now you can have wheels, tow handle, easily customised inlay and whole package is IP67 rated! So no dust or water going inside even you let it outside under rain! 💧

Compartments have lot of space and table is large enough for electric guitars, basses and acoustic guitar. I haven’t tested how it will work with heavy metal guitars but maybe Veeti has something to say about it? 🧐 Good questions coming also from @downyard!

Prepping is the key! 🔑 To keep machines roll efficiently we make lot of preparation to the coming weeks. Clients usually say “yo that was quick” when cases are built but the most is done before chips are flying. Let us tell what is going on. 🧐

Thanks to automation and smart programming we have thing called sheet nesting and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning). Case designer will approve new cases to production line where case parts are exploded and set to nesting module. This module is weeks ahead of case assembly and makes sure parts are available. Combined with smart ERP makes prepping easy. 😎

This is how we build over 1000 cases per year with small group. Effective planning and production = better and durable #flightcases ! 📦

How is your gear going? If it’s been touring for years or travelled many times around the world there might be time for maintenance. Just like Tomi’s acoustic guitar vault. 🎸

Tomi aka Remmel is - of course super good guy - and the vocalist of the @stevenseagullsband. He also plays mandolin, balalaika and acoustic guitar in the band and god sakes this guy chose us to cover his instruments! Steve n Seagulls have made tours in Europe, US and of course here in sweet norther countryside as known as Finland 🇫🇮. Currently they have shows in North, skiing themselves thru Sweden 🇸🇪 before hitting tour in USA 🇺🇸.

So it’s a lot of kilometres, miles and other international length units. This guitar vault was made 7 years ago and keeps Tomi’s precious acoustic guitars in safe. Time after time moving parts will come to an end and we change them. In this particularly #flightcase medium sized butterfly latches will get loose after opening and closing them hundreds of times. Also wheels roll them out in some point and luckily wheel changing operation is easy. 👊

New ones made by @pennelcomonline will be fitted in and old will be recycled. ♻️ If there is little ränkkää in your case just ask local builder for fix. That’s what Sauna Timo would do if he had flight case for his sauna. 💨
