Past time our Guitar Vault concept has been developed with the experience and feedback of the users. The first Casemakers Guitar Vault ever was made for Markus Laakso. Now there is hundreds of vaults all over the world travelling with touring artists including excellent metal band Stam1na. What is interesting to find almost every user has their own preferences for the case.

Currently we are balancing with mandatory preferences of the case and total weight. Few weeks ago one great guitarist from Finntroll said: “Yes it’s sure it’s possible to build it from ultra light space ship steel to achieve the lightest case ever made but it it really necessary. It well cost big bucks!”💰. Smart words! Case should have reliable price also. If you are still ready to purchase 15000EUR Guitar Vault - yes call us we can do it!

Currently flight companies draw the line where #flightcase weight should be set. Current max is 22-23kg for each package. Casemakers light weight Guitar vaults weight 10 to 13 kilos each. As Antti is telling on the video he has two ESP explorer style guitars, straps, cables and few pedals fitted in one case and total weight is exactly 22kg. ✌️

Wissota 911 is commercial grade portable skate sharpener. ⛸ Sturdy machine (36kg) but including very sensitive parts how skates will be grind in tip-top condition. The first machine was built in 1946 but the best carry case in 2020 🙏

Skate sharpeners are used by ice hockey teams from junior grade to professional and national teams. We had excellent chance to design case for JYP junior ice hockey maintenance team. Huge thanks for Miikka Ylönen. 👏👏 He had many excellent points how things should be packed in the #flightcase.

Case fits sharpener itself, skate holder, ruler, cleaning clothes, wax, cleaner etc. Everything you will need to success in skate sharpening. Wissota have made good instructional how-to videos for operating.

After user testimonials flight case was updated to be operated from the case. Just lift the case lid, connect electrical socket and you are ready to go!. Heavy machine has heavy case! To ease the pain we added lot of handles, wheels and full steel telescopic handle. There is also place for🔒padlock🔒 if competitor team is too nosy 😏

@prolyft announced new chain hoist series named Nero! 👊 These hoists are foolproof and designed to withstand rigorous transportation.

Few years ago we designed flight case for almost same chain hoist Aetos with excellent and professional technicians from @akuntehdasvirallinen. Now it’s time for Nero! The best results are made when end user is also behind the blueprints. Big thanks for Kari and Pete for cooperation. ✌️ Not forgetting co-owner and case builder Matti who has over 10 years of experience working in event technology. 😎

Nero has two capacity 500kg and 1000kg and designed for stage technology. Chain hoists are full steel and #flightcases have to handle lot of stress. We made interior almost three times thicker plywood than flight case core. These cases will get rekt that’s for sure but we do our best to build long lasting flight case for chain hoist. New cases are currently on production and see daylight soon!

Checking all functions work on drum #flightcase! 👊 While ago we made drum vaults and trunk flight cases for Atte from Beast in Black. Case builds with color coded lid edges and cool cymbal trays.

💟 Pink wraps all the hardware of drums and it has extra space for other necessary equipments like the very very important thing: drum carpet! Case bottom was reinforced with thick castor board to ensure flight case will not look as tired Sauna Timo after the final.

💎Blue’s and 🔥 orange’s primary job is to carry drum shells like both bass drums, snares and toms. Another great additions are cymbal trays, accessory box and space for drum heads. The whole set packed up safely in three #flightcases!

These flight cases were forged in middle of Finnish nature at Keitele Finland! 🇫🇮 Great products rolling currently all over the world! 👍

Oh yes! ✌ Few months ago we talk about #coatings and module racks. We tested it and it was #success! Final finish looks good and production will be continued. 👀

Module rack has idea for easy way to rearrange rack units for those who see this the first time. These are common with E.g control units. One module is like a gear ⚙️ in the clocks mechanism. When you need to replace one it’s easily done. The first modules in Casemakers' factory were made for chain hoist controllers which can power up chain hoist motors.

Building these up is way different and whole kind of story than #flightcases. In flight case production edges and joints are mostly and easily hided under aluminium extrusion. It’s always good to have perfect finish of cuts everywhere but these will need extra sharp tooling and care. 🪓 Every scratch and chipping on plywood edge will be seen and the coating doesn't help you hiding them out. 😬 Luckily we have kittipakkeli for accidents 🙏

I have currently new plans going on for better paint and space for faster production. Hopefully I can update more soon! 👊

Kiirassoitin as know also @kiiras_instruments is custom guitar workshop based in Jyväskylä Finland 🇫🇮. Simo Iiskola is behind these amazing instruments and started to build first guitar in 2012. Kiiras Instruments has build guitars e.g. for Eric Meyer (Dark Angel) and Greger Andersson (PAIN). We have made many many many cases for Simo. 👍

Guitar cases can be built in many ways. Low cost option is regular plastic molded case like Gator case or SKB. It’s good as long there is no flights or packing in truck in sight 🚛. Plastic cases carry guitar just alright but there is risk to get wrecked. If you are touring artist then guitar flight case is for you!

Guitar flight case is braced for every direction with aluminium angles and steel corners. It can hold almost 30 times of it’s own weight! 👊 Plywood version can face Leopard tanks - as one of our clients said - and polypropylene is the best option when seeking lightweight solution but still tough as Finnish Timo in Sauna. 🔥

It’s been great to co-operate with Simo because we both trust in CAD. Custom guitar needs custom foam and with Simo’s drawing skills and our CNC workcenter it’s piece of cake. 👌 Go check @kiirassoitin IG and give some comment!

Phenomenon of the year before festivals is to put stuff in order at warehouse. Get rig of mic or speaker stand stacks and get organisers! These will keep stands in order and easily visible. 👀 Stands stay also in better condition without scratching each other.

These are heavy MF’s! 👊 This particular holds 77 mic stands and is accessible in both ends. Speaking about heavy this organiser holds over 20m2 of birch #plywood. Loaded it’s easily more than 100kg. Luckily this goes on pallet rack! Mic stand organisers can be used in vertical or horizontal ways. Locked with cross braces makes it super sturdy.

I have seen these made of plastic pipes which is fair good idea. Pros are faster to build and case weights less. Downsides are this design usually need rear wall to hold it up and case fits less stands. As usual plywood version is kind a indestructible so maybe better safe than sorry. ✌️

New life for old cases or throw them on the graveyard? 🪦We received shockmount rack which slide doors were in really poor condition. Here is walkthru video how case was revived back to life! 🚑

#flightcase was not our build but decided to give a chance. Original slide door rollers were made of plastic which went broken and stuck whole door. New parts which we use is fixed on the wall and there is serial of bearings. It’s easy to use and easy to change. 💪

Quick walk thru with cassiguru how to operate with guitar tech box! ✌️Fresh idea to use injection molded case was introduced by guitar/backline technician @veetijamsen 🥳

By these cassikeke hands I have build tens of different maintenance briefcases for backline technicians. All have been fairly good but the most have annoying problem: weight, wheels and eveything around towing. 🚀 Wheels can be installed but then it increases weight (because good wheels have steel housing and poor plastic ones goes to hell). To wheel or not to wheel? Flight case was ok for it but suddenly there was an option which was never questioned.

Injection molded case 👊 Those MFs which we have warehouse full. Never thought before Veeti throw that idea. It was perfect! 🥳 Now you can have wheels, tow handle, easily customised inlay and whole package is IP67 rated! So no dust or water going inside even you let it outside under rain! 💧

Compartments have lot of space and table is large enough for electric guitars, basses and acoustic guitar. I haven’t tested how it will work with heavy metal guitars but maybe Veeti has something to say about it? 🧐 Good questions coming also from @downyard!

Rogue R2X is a powerful moving head for professional lighting and rental. Chauvet has made perfect product ❌BUT❌ it’s without factory insert! Damn! Luckily we have tools to build snuggle fit foam inserts for pro light 👍 Closed cell foam is fair good stuff and easy to cut.

Pro light cases have some limitations. Mostly rentals and professionals demand cases should be in module dimensions. Which are someway 240cm truck width sliced to 60cm partitions. Keeping module dimensions in mind when planning flight cases is important. We agreed! 🆗

60cm wide #flightcases are the most valuable standard while packing truck. Unfortunately some of pro lights are unsuitable for this way of packing but Rogue Wash is just spot on! 👌Case can be designed for two, four or six units. Even six units of R2X packed in one case with accessory section is nearly 120cm long.

Flight case with large hardware and good quality of work is the product how every pro light case is build at Casemakers. CNC carving added on the side give case the final touch! 👌
